Fall brings so many of my favorite things: cooler weather, pumpkin spice, and the feeling of new beginnings. It also brings the stress of a new school year, figuring out caseloads, scheduling, and getting systems set up for the entire year.

During this busy time, it’s more important than ever to have a good repertoire of easy, no-prep, and versatile speech therapy resources to make planning and carrying out speech therapy sessions as simple as possible.

I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite fall speech therapy activities and resources to help you bring a little autumn fun into your sessions while keeping planning simple. The resources below include a mixture of articulation and language activities that are especially helpful for mixed groups and busy SLPs!

These folding crafts bring so much fun into speech therapy sessions! They are easy to print and assemble, and they include both articulation and language targets, making them perfect for mixed groups or planning for an entire caseload.

The apple basket theme is a fun way to bring a fall vibe into your speech therapy sessions during September, October, and November. Students can color, assemble, and practice their speech and language targets all while creating a craft they’ll be excited to take home or display.

Cut-and-paste activities are always a hit in elementary speech therapy sessions. They give students a sense of accomplishment and pride as they color, cut, and glue their scenes together.

These fall speech therapy cut-and-paste worksheets make planning especially easy and include a variety of articulation and language targets to help you cover your entire caseload. They’re a simple way to add a seasonal activity to your sessions without needing to spend hours preparing materials.

If you’re looking for high-repetition articulation practice, these fall-themed 100-trial worksheets are perfect! They include 19 different speech sounds across word positions, giving you plenty of opportunities for repeated practice.

You don’t have to spend time searching for target words or pairing flashcards with blank 100-trial worksheets. This resource is 100% no prep and print-and-go ready, making it an easy choice for busy speech-language pathologists who need a quick articulation activity.

If you’re looking for a highly engaging fall speech therapy activity that works for a variety of students, look no further than these speech therapy accordion crafts!

These activities combine coloring, folding, and speech and language practice into one fun project. Your students will have something they’re proud to take home and share, which can also encourage additional practice and carryover at home.

Check out the owl, pumpkin, and acorn options, or grab the bundle for extra savings!

These interactive fall color-by-number articulation worksheets are the perfect addition to your seasonal speech therapy resource collection.

The packet includes three different fall-themed images and 20 different speech sounds per image, for a total of 210 pages of fall articulation worksheets. They’re a great option when you want an engaging activity that provides plenty of articulation practice without requiring much preparation.

Looking for another fun fall articulation activity? These wearable speech sound bracelets feature a variety of adorable woodland animals, including a fox, squirrel, and hedgehog.

The bracelets are easy to print and assemble, making articulation therapy simple and repeatable. Kids will love showing off their creations and wearing them throughout the day, and that excitement can help encourage additional speech sound practice and carryover.

This resource includes a collection of 10 fall-themed short stories with WH comprehension questions, targeting who, what, where, when, and why questions.

The stories are differentiated into two levels (multiple choice and free response) making them flexible enough to use with a variety of ages and ability levels. Because the stories can be revisited across multiple sessions, they’re also a great option for simplifying your weekly speech therapy planning.

Book companions are one of my favorite ways to incorporate literacy-rich activities into speech therapy sessions. This classic fall story features a leaf falling in autumn and all of the events that follow.

This book companion includes activities targeting vocabulary, prepositions, verbs, sequencing, and speech sounds, making it a versatile resource for a broad caseload. With so many different targets included, you can use the activities across multiple sessions and simplify your planning for an entire week.

If you love book companions as much as I do, this is another great addition to your fall speech therapy resource collection!

This versatile book companion includes a variety of articulation and language targets, including WH questions, sequencing, categories, vocabulary, plurals, and speech sounds. With so many targets included, it can span multiple sessions and work well for students with a variety of speech and language goals.

Whether you’re looking for fall articulation activities, language activities, book companions, crafts, or no-prep speech therapy resources, I hope these ideas make your fall planning a little easier!

The beginning of the school year can be hectic, but having a collection of versatile seasonal resources on hand can make it much easier to plan engaging speech therapy sessions for your students.

I love using the fall to work on farm themed activities. This farm-themed core word packet provides fun, hands on opportunities for students to learn and use essential core vocabulary through interactive worksheets and structured practice activities.

This 20 page resource targets eight high frequency core words: see, eat, stop, like, go, want, more, and help. It is perfect for AAC users, emerging communicators, preschool and elementary speech therapy sessions, and home practice!

Enjoy your fall as a speech therapist by taking some of the stress out of planning.

Whether you're looking for articulation activities, language practice, hands-on crafts, or book companions, these resources are designed to make therapy planning easier while keeping students excited to learn.
